Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Aaron "Oggy" Osborne Jenkins who was born in Covington, Louisiana on February 04, 1988 and went on to meet the Lord, Jesus, on October 20, 2006 at the age of 18. We will love and remember him forever.

Aaron and his sister, Arianne, were both raised by their mom, older sister, Sara, and Faye & Isaac Cooper who brought them up in the Bedico Baptist church for many years.  Both knew the Lord since they were little thanks to "Maw Maw Faye".

Aaron attended kindergarten at Champ Cooper and went on to grammer school at Madisonville Elementary.  Aaron then went on to Madisonville Jr. High and later to Covington High where he withdrew in the 11th grade.   He was an honor roll student throughout all of his school years.   We were very proud of him.

Aaron loved skating and skateboarding and was very good at many tricks on his skateboard.   He made his own half pipe coming off of an old doghouse in the backyard where he perfected his tricks.

After leaving school Aaron started working as a sheetrock finisher and was well liked at his job, Southern Drywall.   He had been at his job for almost 2 years and is sadly missed by his co-workers.

Aaron was crazy about vehicles like his mom.  We collected models of so many vehicles and he also has a collection of remote control cars.  His favorite car was a Honda Civic.  His first car was a 1997 Honda Civic EX and his last car was a 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback, his most favorite vehicle.

For the last 7 years, Aaron attended church at Freedom Church in Livingston and loved the Lord.  There were many times he went to the alter in tears working out his issues with the Lord.  We believe that the Lord knows his children and that Aaron is with Jesus.

Aaron was a beautiful boy, well mannered, hard working, polite, and well liked by all.  He was a peacemaker and loved to make people happy.   We miss him terribly and count the days until we see him again in heaven.

His legacy
I'm Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief; don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me…God wanted me now…He set me free.
